Northern Mechanical and Iron Range JATC

Overview

Applications are accepted year-round, but there is a cut-off date typically two months prior to the interview session.

Applicants will request an account at TradeSchool, Inc. Once the account is approved, applicants are able to complete the 11-step process to complete their application. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete depending on the applicant.

Once an account has been created, Northern Mechanical will send information that outlines the application and interview process.

Rochester Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 6

Overview

Applications are year-round with interviews beginning in the spring. Annual application deadline is mid-March, testing begins in April and interviews in May. Program placement is in June. There is no application fee.

Saint Paul Pipefitters UA Local 455

Location

Overview

Applicants must pass college Accuplacer exams.

Interviews are held in May.

Applications are open September-April. Apply online at Saint Paul College’s website OR Dakota County Technical College's website.

Basic requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must have reliable transportation
