Minneapolis Plumbers Joint Journeymen and Apprentice Training Committee
Overview
Minneapolis/St. Cloud Plumbers Union Local 15.
Applications accepted for approximately 10 business days every January. Dates vary and are available on Local 15’s website.
There are three aptitude tests, all are taken at once at Local 15’s computer lab. Once the tests are completed, applicants can schedule an interview. Every applicant who finishes all three tests will have the opportunity to schedule an interview. Informational sessions are hosted in the fall of every year, prior to applications opening. No application fee.

Northern Mechanical and Iron Range JATC

Overview
Applications are accepted year-round, but there is a cut-off date typically two months prior to the interview session.
Applicants will request an account at TradeSchool, Inc. Once the account is approved, applicants are able to complete the 11-step process to complete their application. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete depending on the applicant.
Once an account has been created, Northern Mechanical will send information that outlines the application and interview process.

Rochester Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 6

Overview
Applications are year-round with interviews beginning in the spring. Annual application deadline is mid-March, testing begins in April and interviews in May. Program placement is in June. There is no application fee.

St. Paul Plumbers and Gasfitters Local 34
Location

Overview
Applications are open all year but must be done by Sept. 30 to interviewed in October. Interviews are conducted once a year.
Applicants must take an Accuplacer test and receive a minimum score of 248 on reading and 250 on math. Tests are given through Workforce Training (room L587) at Saint Paul College on Monday and Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applicants must take the Accuplacer test and apply for the plumbing program at the same time. There is a $25 exam fee and $5 retake fee. The test can be taken three times.
