Note:  A systems error caused the current commercial prevailing-wage rates effective Dec. 26, 2023, to be replaced by 2024 rates that have yet to be certified. If you accessed commercial wage rates with an effective date of Dec. 16, 2024, please destroy them as the data is incorrect. The Department of Labor and Industry will certify new commercial wage rates Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, following the public notice in the State Register. Prevailing wages are the wages required to be paid on state-funded construction and public works projects.

Minnesota's prevailing-wage law (Minnesota Statutes 177.41 through 177.44) requires employees working on state-funded construction and public works projects or other projects covered by law be paid wage-rates comparable to wages paid for similar work in the area where the project is located.
