The Board of Electricity adopts the electrical code, including any amendments; adopts rules that regulate the licensure or registration of the electrical industry; and issues final interpretations of the electrical code. The board includes 12 members:  11 appointed by the governor and one appointed by the commissioner of DLI.

Appointment to the board

Individuals interested in appointment to the Board of Electricity are required to submit an application as vacancies occur and a notice of vacancy is announced by the Secretary of State. Inquiries can be sent to dli.ccldboards@state.mn.us.
