NEW: Requirements for Adult Changing Stations is a supplement to the 2020 Minnesota Accessibility Code. The requirements for adult changing stations are effective Aug. 15, 2025. The 2020 Minnesota Accessibility Code remains in effect with no other changes.
The 2024 Minnesota Commercial Energy Code is effective Jan. 5, 2024.

2024 MN_COMcheck: This is a code compliance tool prepared specifically for Minnesota energy code compliance by Pacific Northwest National Labs, contracted through the U.S. Department of Energy.
The 2020 Minnesota State Building Code is effective March 31, 2020, except for the Minnesota Mechanical Fuel Gas Code, which is effective April 6, 2020.
It is the minimum construction standard throughout all of Minnesota. Although it is not enforceable by municipalities unless it is adopted by local ordinance, it creates a level playing field for the construction industry by establishing the Minnesota State Building Code as the standard for the construction of all buildings in the state.
